Baoli Cable, an SIP-based high-tech company engaged in new metal materials, and the Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), which is dedicated to advancing electrical science and engineering, signed an agreement recently to jointly develop “anti-oxidation equipment and technology”.

Based on the agreement, Baoli Cable and the IEE will jointly invest over RMB3 million and share related intellectual property rights. The collaboration is expected to lead to disruptive innovation in conductor surface treatment technology.

The research findings from the tie-up will be industrialized in the new site that Baoli Cable is building in SIP with the construction permit obtained in February.

It is worth mentioning that SIP Enterprise Development Service Center and Yangtze Delta Region Transformation Center for Advanced Technological Achievements provided great support and efficient coordination to facilitate this cooperation.
