Suzhou Zhenli New Material Technology Co Ltd, a company in SIP, is quickening its pace to develop ultra-thin, low-cost composite current collectors for lithium-ion batteries leveraging its one-step magnetron sputtering technology.

Founded by a research team of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in SIP in 2023, the company focuses on high-performance, high-efficiency vacuum deposition technology for coating. It is the first company in China to have achieved industrialized production of composite current collectors using one-step magnetron sputtering method.

Over the past two years, the company has made a series of innovations, with remarkable breakthroughs in third-generation high-speed low-temperature deposition technology. Its products like “Cicada’s Wings”, “Scale Armor” and “Visionary” have been launched, including the composite current collector that is 30% thinner than conventional products for use in drones.

The company is now striving to scale up its production and promote overseas development. It hopes to enhance collaboration with local research organizations to enrich its product lineup.
