SIP provides a good environment for one-person companies (OPCs). Cutting-edge technologies spring up here frequently and comprehensive support is provided for companies in all development stages.

The Dandelion AI Industry Innovation Center in SIP’s Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District, founded in 2019, has provided all-around support to 290 AI companies through a six-module incubation program, including helping 69 of them raise funds of over RMB11.2 billion.

Dong Chen, founder of one of the companies, said SIP’s incentives allow startups to significantly reduce costs in offices, equipment and HR management, and the local authorities offer plenty of opportunities for companies to look for partners and resources.

It is learned that the Dandelion AI Industry Innovation Center plans to incline more to OPCs in future project selection and make more dedicated services available to them.

There are other spaces in SIP serving as incubators and accelerators for startups, like the Youth Venture Platform, which offers early-stage projects work spaces plus mentorship, technical support and investor access.

The AI industry park in SISPARK has nurtured a number of industry-leading enterprises such as AISpeech and InnoLight Technology and is fueling quick growth of many early-stage startups like Zelos and SKYSYS. Looking ahead, SISPARK will deepen support for OPCs through scenario-based training, financing assistance and various partnering and networking events.

With three OPC communities already taking shape, SIP prepares to adopt more policies and measures in the future to make better support and services available for OPCs.
