The 2025 Lake Cup Regatta (LCR) is set to take place on Jinji Lake in SIP from Oct 16 to 19. It is expected to drive a new wave of enthusiasm for water sports in SIP.

Initiated in 2011, the annual LCR has become a brand event in SIP, attracting a large number of professional sailors and sailing enthusiasts each year.

This year’s event will feature professional keelboat races in J80, DC20 and FT7.5 classes, alongside public competitions like stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking.

Over 260 sailors from more than 10 countries, including the United States, Russia and Switzerland, have confirmed to participate, ranging from seasoned veterans to young talents.

Beyond the races, the event will offer public activities such as night sailing tours, lakeside treasure hunt game, sunset concerts and flash mob performances.

A new holographic 3D projection fan installation, the first of its kind in Suzhou, will also debut at Jinji Station 06, creating an immersive space for cosplay and anime fans.
